Resources for Rescues Launches Winter Pawction to Support SNBRF

Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation has always had a soft spot for the long ears, big personalities, and soulful eyes of the “Snoopy dogs.” But behind every successful rescue group is another layer of support — people and organizations who work quietly in the background to make sure dogs get the second chances they deserve.

This December, that behind-the-scenes support gets the spotlight. Resources for Rescues, a group known for amplifying local rescues through creative fundraising, is hosting its annual Winter Pawction from December 3–10, with every bid benefiting Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation. For anyone who loves dogs, deals, or doing good, it’s one of the most impactful ways to help Las Vegas pets this holiday season.

What the Winter Pawction Offers

The Winter Pawction brings together a wide mix of donated items, giving holiday shoppers plenty of reasons to browse and bid. This year’s lineup includes Apple Watches, dog beds, portable fridge/freezer units, heated gloves, cat trees, small electrics, fitness equipment, Raiders and Golden Knights bundles, gaming items like Nintendo accessories, novelty toys, smart keyboards, and seasonal gift baskets. With 50+ items in the auction, it’s worth spending the time to find just what you’re looking for.

Bidding begins December 3 at 11:00 AM and closes December 10 at 9:00 PM. Anyone can browse for free, with registration required only if you decide to jump into the bidding.

The Group Making It Happen

While the Winter Pawction is a major fundraising event, online auctions aren’t the primary focus of Resources for Rescues. Their day-to-day work is more often about supporting smaller rescue groups with food, supplies, outreach help, and community connections that keep animals safe and families supported. They’re the group that steps in when a rescue’s pantry runs low, when an outreach event needs hands, or when a family in crisis needs food to keep their pets at home. Hosting the Winter Pawction is simply another way for them to give rescues the boost they need during one of the busiest seasons of the year. Who the Pawction Supports

All proceeds from the Winter Pawction go directly to Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation, the long-standing Las Vegas rescue dedicated to Beagles and Beagle mixes. SNBRF is known for stepping up for seniors, medical cases, and dogs with behavioral or long-term care needs. Support from the Pawction helps cover medical treatment, diagnostics, medications, dental care, emergency procedures, and the ongoing needs of dogs who require specialized support.

For many of these pups, SNBRF is the difference between life, comfort, and being overlooked. Every bid helps extend that safety net.

Why This Matters for Las Vegas Dog Owners

Events like the Winter Pawction strengthen the entire rescue ecosystem across Southern Nevada. When groups like SNBRF receive reliable funding, they’re able to take in more dogs, support tougher cases, and relieve pressure on municipal shelters. For pet owners, it means a stronger community network, more adoptable dogs receiving proper care, and a healthier overall landscape for animals in need. It’s a positive ripple effect felt far beyond the Beagle breed.

How to Participate

Joining the Winter Pawction is easy. Starting December 3, simply visit the auction site to browse items at your own pace — no registration required unless you decide to bid. The auction runs through December 10 at 9:00 PM, giving you a full week to explore new listings as they’re added. Every winning bid goes directly to Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation, making your holiday shopping a meaningful way to support local dogs in need.
